Logos wins national sonic arts competition (SoundDome 2018)
This particular composition is inspired by research into the coded ratios which can be deduced from the interior architecture of the Gothic cathedral Notre dame de Chartres. The work uses sacred geometry and mediating ratios which I derived from research into medieval cathedral design. The title of the piece is suggestive of the human fixation with geometric proportion as a manifestation of the meta-physical, which the ancient Greeks called Logos. The piece is completely notated and ready for an ensemble to play. It can also be played as a multichannel acousmatic media installation
